Veteran Riding
No more sitting at a desk! Ground activities and mounted riding assist veterans in their healing process. Being in the moment, regulating emotions, and physical activity in the presence of a non-judgmental horse can save the lives of our veterans with PTSD and other disabilities.
We have limited funding for veterans with post-9/11 injuries who are registered and referred through the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). This program is a 10-week program funded through scholarships from WWP and PATH, Intl.
Summer Camp
Summer Camp is an inclusive 4-day experience for kids of all abilities. Riding twice each day, learning how to care for their horses, what horses eat, how to keep them healthy, the joys of mucking stalls, and lots of fun for the hot summer days. Monday-Thursday most weeks of summer school break.
Reserve your spot early- only 32 spots are available.
Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy can assist individuals in utilizing metaphors from the horse and applying them to their life scenarios. Lessons learned can assist your journey of growth through the horses and the help of a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner.
Let the horses show you the way to discover your inner peace.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our 6-week sessions start every 8 weeks throughout the year. Jan/Feb, Mar/April, May/June, July/Aug, Sept/Oct, Nov/Dec.
Do you accept insurance?
Insurance will not cover the costs of therapeutic riding, because we do not utilize a licensed therapist to facilitate the program. Mi Via Waiver will cover all the costs if built into the budget. DD Waiver has limited funding for this service.
What is the cost of therapeutic riding?
Our 6-weeks riding session is $420. There is a one-time application fee of $50.
What does a lesson look like?

Can I start in the middle of a session?
Yes, if paperwork is completed and there is an available spot that matches your availability, you can start immediately. Fees are pro-rated to match your participation.
What is the registration process?
Please complete the rider application, have your physician sign the Physician Release, and call 505-554-9493 to schedule a Meet-N-Greet. Once we have met, our staff will evaluate your needs and match you in a class that fits your availability and meets your support needs.
